Jimmy Kimmel Asks Kanye West Why He Supports Trump – Kanye’s Answer Was Perfect (Video)

People who support Trump get beat up, even killed. Trying to convince one “liberal” that Trump “isn’t all that bad” is dangerous enough. But an entire audience full of them?

We all remember when Kanye went “all in,” at one of his concerts and endorsed President Trump!

His effect on the black community was huge!

President Trump approval numbers with African-Americans increased a lot. “By the way, Kanye West must have some power,” Trump said. “Because you probably saw I doubled my African-American poll numbers. We went from 11 to 22 [percent] in one week. Thank you, Kanye.”

While appearing on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Thursday, rapper Kanye West said he faced initial pushback over his support for President Donald Trump and took about a year and a half before regaining his confidence to take a strong stand.

“Just as a musician, African-American, guy out in Hollywood — you know, all these different things — everyone tried to pick my candidate for me,” he told the show’s host, Jimmy Kimmel.

He added that people told him he couldn’t express his support out loud or he would face the end of his career and “get kicked out” of the black community.

“It took me a year and a half to stand up and put on the hat,” he said, apparently referring to the “Make America Great Again” hat.

West added, wasn’t so much about Trump’s policies. It was more about “overcoming fear and doing what you felt no matter anyone said and saying, ‘you can’t bully me,’ liberals can’t bully me, the news can’t bully me, the hip-hop community — they can’t bully me.”

In defending Trump, West asked his critics, “Why not try love? One by one by one, we can diffuse this nuclear bomb of hate that we’re in as a society by thinking of everyone as our family,” he added.

As I indicated earlier, Kanye will find out soon enough that being on the side of Trump is no picnic. That said, one must applaud Kanye not selling out like many mainstream artists who swim with the tide.
