The American majority is sick and tired of NFL players using the field as a platform to spew their political views.
Disrespecting our flag and our anthem is not the way to protest nor the place to protest! We The People are pissed at the disrespect to our military and our country!
On Thursday, a leaked document from the Miami Dolphins revealed that players could be fined or suspended for failing to adhere to a new league policy mandating players and team personnel to stand for the pre-game playing of the anthem.
Following this, on Friday, President Trump criticised the NFL league.
“The NFL National Anthem Debate is alive and well again,” Trump tweeted, “can’t believe it! Isn’t it in contract that players must stand at attention, hand on heart? The $40,000,000 Commissioner must now make a stand. First time kneeling, out for game. Second time kneeling, out for season/no pay!”

If you don’t stand for the National Athene, you don’t play. Sound RIGHT to me. Former college football coach Lou Holtz joined President Trump’s critiques by addressing NFL players, asking them: What Have You Accomplished?’
Holtz said: “Everything the NFL does on [the National Anthem] is a reaction. The player, I think, are very emotionally involved. One of the main problems we have, I think, is social media. People get on Twitter and Facebook and say ‘hey, you need to kneel for the National Anthem, etc.”
He continued: “I’ve been involved in a lot of football games. I’ve never attended a football game where they didn’t have the National Anthem before the game. It’s part of the sport. And let’s remember this: Years ago these athletes made $50,000 a year. Now they make multi-millions because the NFL became very popular. It surpassed Major League baseball as the number one sport. Now all of the sudden, you are really hurting the customer.”
“It’s a matter of choice. You choose to kneel for the National Anthem, you’re choosing not to play,” Holtz added.
Lou Holtz: "Let's look at what you've accomplished by kneeling down during the national anthem: You're hurting the sport, you're hurting the future, you're hurting the revenue for other people coming up." https://t.co/fWowPSemvs pic.twitter.com/hJ4adA6KHO

Well, the kneeling players certainly have not accomplished anything positive from their actions. All they did was creating animosity towards the NFL for hijacking the national anthem, advocating for criminals who make a living by taking advantage of law-abiding citizens. And one thing they have accomplished is that the NFL lost a lot of money!!
I wish there were coaches in the NFL that were even half or one quarter the man that Lou Holz is. They would do well to emulate one of the greatest coaches and men to grace this great country that is America.
