NFL Team Owner Wants To Lose More Fans And Fights Back Against NFL Anthem Rule, ‘I’ll Pay the Fines’

What a great way for a team to lose even more fans and followers. Just disrespect our country and flag for Veterans day weekend!!

Everybody knows that Colin Kaepernick’s polarizing decision to protest the national anthem was a stupid thing to do! Honoring and respect the flag of our nation is also paying respect for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice to keep of nation safe and free.

Today NFL announced that teams will be fined if players kneel for the US national anthem under a new policy.

The American football league said players who do not stand for the Star-Spangled Banner can stay in the locker room until it has been performed.

The NFL also vowed to “impose appropriate discipline on league personnel who do not stand and show respect for the flag and the Anthem”.

Players said the protests were against police brutality of African Americans.

“It was unfortunate that on-field protests created a false perception among many that thousands of NFL players were unpatriotic,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in a statement accompanying Wednesday’s new policy.

“This is not and was never the case. This season, all-league and team personnel shall stand and show respect for the flag and the Anthem.”

But it seems that NY Jets chairman decided to lose even more fans!

NY Jets chairman and CEO Christopher Johnson says to hell with the NFL’s new policy on restricting anthem protests … and vows to pay the fines HIMSELF if his players kneel!

“If somebody [on the Jets] takes a knee, that fine will be borne by the organization, by me, not the players,” Christopher told Newsday.

“There will be no club fines or suspensions or any sort of repercussions. If the team gets fined, that’s just something I’ll have to bear.”

FYI, Christopher is the brother of team owner Woody Johnson — who is currently serving as the U.S. ambassador to the United Kingdom, after being nominated by President Trump.

Johnson added that while he prefers his players stand, he says it’s not his nor the league’s place “to put restrictions on the speech of our players.”

This would be a GREAT day to let the NFL know EXACTLY how important respect for the National anthem and the Flag are to Veterans and the people who love Veterans. So important that we will not participate in their two-faced attempt to “honor” Veterans one day while disrespecting us/them every other game day.

So keep boycotting. We may not see this year the big dip in ticket sales, but the proof is when you carry out boycotts for the long haul.

And about Houston Texans, I think they can be our new number one team!

Do you agree?
