Tweeting an article from a right-wing news site about Hogg’s college prospects, Ingraham appeared to make light of his rejections, saying it was “totally predictable given acceptance rates” that he was “Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA.” In the tweet, Ingraham also said Hogg whined about being rejected.
David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA…totally predictable given acceptance rates.) https://t.co/wflA4hWHXY

Now, this tweet caused a lot of controversies and Hogg responded just a few hours later, asking the Fox News host who her biggest advertisers were, adding the hashtag “#BoycottIngramAdverts.”
And David’s sister appealed to first lady Melania Trump after Fox News host Laura Ingraham posted a critical tweet about her brother being rejected from colleges.
“HEY @FLOTUS MY BROTHER IS LITERALLY GETTING CYBERBULLIED BY @IngrahamAngle,” Lauren Hogg tweeted.

Last week Melania brought together tech giants to talk about ways to fight cyberbullying and promote internet safety, representatives of three companies.
Among the companies expected to attend the March 20 meeting: Amazon, Facebook, Google, Snap and Twitter. The meeting was confirmed by Amazon and representatives of two companies speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the plans publicly.
Stephanie Grisham, a spokesperson for Trump, said in a statement that Trump “has simply asked for a meeting to discuss one of the many things that impact children — as she has done many times in the past, on several different topics.”
Melania Trump pledged to take on internet harassment shortly after husband Donald Trump was elected president in 2016.
This is not the first time Lauren Hogg to use the internet to attack Melania Trump she tweeted in February, referencing a tweet Trump Jr. liked that inferred that the kids who survived the deadly massacre were “crisis actors.”
“Hey @FLOTUS you say that your mission as First Lady is to stop cyber bullying, well then, don’t you think it would have been smart to have a [conversation] with your step-son @DonaldJTrumpJr before he liked a post about a false conspiracy theory which in turn put a target on my back,”
