President Trump is changing the world for the better. It’s nice to have a leader instead of a follower in the White House.
On Monday morning President Donald Trump expressed support for “the great Iranian people” as reports confirmed that 12 people have been killed in the ongoing protests in Iran so far.
Trump’s public affirmation followed that of U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley who declared Sunday that the United States stands behind the Iranian people and that she prayed “freedom and human rights will carry the day.”
“In the New Year, our hopes and prayers are with the millions of people who are suffering terribly from oppressive governments in North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, and especially in Iran, where the long-repressed Iranian people are now finding their voice,” Haley said in her statement.
“The Iranian government is being tested by its own citizens. We pray that freedom and human rights will carry the day,” she added.
In his Twitter post, President Trump expressed his support for the Iranian people. He also criticized President Barack Obama’s “terrible” nuclear deal with Tehran:
Trump wrote: “Iran is failing at every level despite the terrible deal made with them by the Obama Administration. The great Iranian people have been repressed for many years. They are hungry for food & for freedom. Along with human rights, the wealth of Iran is being looted. TIME FOR CHANGE!

Trump also said the U.S. is “watching very closely for human rights violations” as the protests continue.
On the streets of Iran, thousands have called for the theocratic regime to end, in a reprise of the so-called “Green Movement” of 2009, when protesters clashed over elections and called fruitlessly on the U.S. to support their cause. That protest movement ended with the arrest of hundreds of students, political figures and dissidents.
On Sunday, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said: “We support the right of the Iranian people to express themselves peacefully. Their voices deserve to be heard. We encourage all parties to protect this fundamental right to peaceful expression and to avoid any actions that contribute to censorship.”
If this keeps up the only thing that will be on display in Obama’s presidential library will be his phony Nobel Peace Prize. Imagine the liberal heads exploding as President Trump becomes the hero of the Iranian people.
Obama turned his back on the Iranian people last time they rose up. Many good people living here from Iran from back in the days of the Shah and they are very patriotic Americans. I would go out on a limb and bet they voted for Trump since they knew that Obama supported everything they were against and fled from. I support the Iranian people in their fight to rid themselves of the Arab Muslim invaders and agree with them!
