In an interview with Steve Bannon, the former White House Chief Strategist told Wolff that Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya and several other Russians in Trump Tower was “treasonous” and “unpatriotic.”
Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort also attended the meeting, with the Trumpists there for the explicit reason of obtaining dirt on Hillary Clinton.
“They’re going to crack Don Junior like an egg on national TV,” he added, referencing the ongoing investigation into collusion between the Trump Team and Russia.
Yesterday President Trump responded to his comments!
“Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my presidency,” Trump said. “When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind.”
So our President thinks that Bannon has ‘lost his mind’
But you will be surprised what Sarah Sanders said about Steve Bannon!
During Thursday’s news conference, a reporter asked Sanders her thoughts about Bannon’s standing as executive chairman at the conservative outlet.
You were eager to call on ESPN to fire one of its sportscasters for criticizing President Trump,” the reporter began, pointing to the September controversy caused by ESPN sportscaster Jemele Hill, who called the president a “white supremacist” in a Twitter tirade.
“Should Breitbart part ways with Steve Bannon after his comments in this book?” the reporter continued.
Sanders answered, “I certainly think that it’s something they should look at and consider.”

Sanders characterized the book from author Michael Wolff on Wednesday as “trashy tabloid fiction,” and continued to criticize the tell-all Thursday.
Sanders again called the book “trash” from an author “that no one had ever heard of until today.”
