On Friday night President Trump visited a hospital near Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida to comfort and meet the families of students injured after a gunman rampaged through the high school with a semi-automatic rifle.
President Trump said of the visit: “Our entire Nation, w/one heavy heart, continues to pray for the victims & their families in Parkland, FL. To teachers, law enforcement, first responders & medical professionals who responded so bravely in the face of danger: We THANK YOU for your courage!”
But, this was all The Washington Post needed to attack President Trump again. No matter what Trump did would be criticized… He is following his heart and doing what he feels is right…I am sure all of the families appreciate his visit and condolences.
Instead, to be grateful that the president brought solace to those suffering, all the post wants to do is spew hatred and division.
The Washington Post wrote a critical piece about the visit titled “In brief Florida Stop, Trump focuses on praising first responders.” The piece criticises Trump for praising and congratulating the hospital staff and first responders instead of grieving with families of pushing for gun law reform.
The piece said:
President Trump, as he often does while responding to natural disasters, mass shootings or unfolding crises, spent much of his time congratulating the responders instead of memorializing the victims of Wednesday’s school shooting during a visit here Friday. Trump, in two quick stops at a hospital and sheriff’s office near the school where 17 were killed and scores were injured, praised the doctors, police officers, fire officials and others who responded quickly to the mass shooting in Parkland, casting their response as heroic and record-setting.
Washington Post reporter Phillip Rucker tweeted the story:

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders slammed the Washington Post for criticizing President Trump’s visit with Florida shooting victims.
She wrote: “Actually @PhilipRucker it’s not very nice, but it is very misleading. @POTUS spent private time w/ victims of the shooting & their families. Out of respect for them he didn’t bring media into their hospital rooms but don’t let the truth get in the way of your anti-Trump narrative.”

Sarah Huckabee Sanders is awesome. The Wash(ed up) Post is no match for Super Sanders!
And one thing is sure…Trump will long be remembered as the President who fully exposed and eventually brought down the corrupted and biased traditional media.
