On Wednesday, the New York Times published an anonymous op-ed from a member of the Trump administration who declared him or herself “part of the Resistance inside the Trump administration” The article details how there is a “resistance” inside the Trump administration that is undermining Trump’s policies.
Even though the person who wrote the op-ed only said they were part of the Trump Administration, we don’t have any proof that they actually are. This could simply be another tactic by the Democrats to disrupt things.
However, on Thursday, Sen. Rand Paul suggested an unconventional solution in order for the op-ed writer to be found. Sen. Rand Paul told reporters he believes anyone with a security clearance who works at the White House should be given a lie detector test to figure out who was the author of anonymous critical New York Times op-ed.
.@RandPaul tells me those who work in the WH with security clearances ought to take lie detector tests to see if they’re “talking to the media against the policy of the White House”

Sen. Rand Paul says Trump would be justified in using lie-detector tests to find author of anonymous critical New York Times op-ed.

“I think it’s not unprecedented for people with security clearances to be asked to, whether or not they were revealing things against the law under oath and also by lie detector,” Rand Paul said on Capitol Hill.
He continued: “We use a lie detector test routinely for CIA agents and FBI agents. I think if you have a security clearance in the White House, I think it would be acceptable to use a lie detector test and ask people whether they are talking to the media against the policy of the White House.”4
He added: “This could be very dangerous if the person who is talking to the media is actually revealing national security secrets. So, yes, I think we need to get to the bottom of it.”
Well, I say: Whatever it takes to get the truth! Even though it’s not permissible in court, at least you’d know who was lying and who was telling the truth. Because if you can’t trust those with you how can you work with them?
I hope the mole whoever it is, will be revealed in due time… That is if the source actually exists!
