The 46-year-old former Charles In Charge star Nicole Eggert has claimed that actor Scott Baio molested her when she was a minor. Eggert posted a series of tweets in which she alleged that Baio repeatedly molested her starting at age 14. Scott Baio is a dozen years older than Nicole Eggert, which means he would have been 26 at the time.
Eggert tweeted: “Ask @scottbaio what happened in his garage at his house when I was a minor. Creep.”
Nicole also alleged that she covered up Scott Baio’s actions for years.
However, actor Baio has repeatedly denied Eggert’s claims, calling them “100 [percent] lies.” And now, Baio took it to social media. Via Facebook Live post, Baio stands up for himself and said that Eggert’s claims of sexual misconduct are false.
Step by step, he took us through the whole history and showed the documentation to back up his side of the story.
There is nothing wrong with someone coming forward about being abused or raped in Hollywood, but there is also nothing wrong somebody defending themselves if they are being wrongfully accused. No one deserves to be pronounced guilty on the basis of an accusation and called a sexual predator.
Nicole has no evidence that Scott did anything to her. Her own words discredit her. All she is doing right now is being a bully on social media.
But, people who falsely claim to be a victim of a crime should receive the same sentence that the people they accuse would have gotten.
What do you think about Baio’s statements?
Who do you believe?
