WATCH: Kellyanne Conway Torches Jim Acosta To His Face, ‘You’re Such A Smartass!’

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway absolutely tore into CNN’s Jim Acosta for asking incredibly insulting questions about “telling the truth.”

While speaking to reporters outside of the White House, Conway called Acosta a “smartass” and said half of his colleagues in the media cannot stand him.

Acosta asked Conway whether President Donald Trump would “tell the truth” tonight during his Oval Office address to the nation on the government shutdown and crises at the border.

“Kellyanne, can you promise the President will tell the truth tonight?” Acosta rudely asked.

Conway shot back by asking if Acosta planned to tell the truth when he went back on the air with CNN.

“Let me get back in your face because you’re such a smart ass most of the time,” Conway said, moving closer toward Acosta. “I know you want this to go viral. A lot of these people don’t like you.”

Conway then asked whether Acosta himself would tell the truth.

“Am I allowed to mention God to you?” Conway asked.

“Yes Jim, and can you promise that you will? The whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help you God? Am I allowed to mention God to you?” Conway snapped back, as Acosta interrupted, “I’m not the one who has the alternative facts problem, like you do.”

“Jim, I know that’s a cheap– make sure that goes viral,” Conway said, adding that she’s one of the only people who work in the White House who still gives Acosta the time of day since “most of the people here don’t like you.”

“You’re such a smartass most of the time,” she added.

She nodded to the crowd, turning back to Acosta.

“I was on your network 25 or 26 times in 2018,” said Conway. “I’m one of the last people here who even bothered to go on, and the disrespect that you showed to me personally, I’ll just look past.”

She absolutely leveled Jim with fire and fury.

Watch below:

Trump will deliver a televised speech to the nation from the Oval Office to address the issue directly with the American people and the need for border security.

The speech will be carried live on all networks on Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET.

Trump has been determined to get at least $5 billion in funding for the wall amid the government shutdown.

Last month, House Republicans voted 217-185 to approve a measure that would keep the government open and allocate $5.7 billion for border wall funding.

The bill is now waiting a full vote in the Senate, where lawmakers are hashing it out over funding for border security.

Trump has also threatened to declare a national emergency and have the military build the wall along the border.
